NATURAL RESOURCES

Our Mission...

To be a community-based organization that will protect and utilize all natural resources in a mutual way of sustaining and benefiting our community, forests, watersheds, soils, wildlife, air quality, farms, and grass lands.  The group will work closely with all related partners in the community to ensure the well being of our natural resources.

Our Chair, Robin Young, is the Custer County Conservation District Manager (formerly the Soil Conservation District) and a Natural Resource Conservationist for the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service.  Through these two positions, Robin is able to bring a wide variety of educational classes, workshops, and projects covering all areas of natural resources.  By partnering with many entities, including CSU Extension, State, and Federal Agencies, as well as Sustainable Ways and other local non-profits, Robin is able to bring the most up to date and expertise information on all natural resource topics.
